I’m a Teacher – and I need H2O

I’m a Teacher – and I need H2O

I know that I need to drink water everyday.  I know that it’s good for your complexion, hair, and organs.  I know it propels weight loss, energy gain and general health.  I’m a teacher for God’s sake.

So why don’t I drink 8 glasses of water everyday? Well, because I’m a teacher for God’s sake.

I try, I really (sort of) do.  I bring my water bottle to work everyday with filtered water from home.  I drink it like a champ.  And then I have 3 options.

1. Fill my water bottle up from the drinking fountain. Yes, the drinking fountain almost 900 elementary kids share.  The same one I try desperately to teach kids to hover over instead of sucking on.

2. Walk to the teachers lounge and buy a water bottle. I am not sure if I have mentioned this yet, but I am a teacher.  I can’t afford 7 bottles of water every day nor can I leave my classroom long enough to get to the teachers lounge.

3. Put the empty water bottle back in my bag and start it all over the next day.

I pick 3 every time.

I have a small refrigerator in my room that I share with many other adults and we have tried keeping a brita but EVERY TIME I reach for it, it is empty and I don’t have time to wait 10 minutes for each drop to filter through the system.  Also, it relys on ME telling IT when it needs a new filter. I wish I was that organized. I have even tried keeping distilled water jugs in the fridge but they take up too much space and it is too much trouble to buy two each week.  I can hardly lug in all my teaching gear let alone water jugs.

Having an Aquasana water filtration in my classroom has changed Everything.  Me and my students have access to clean water that tastes AMAZING anytime we need it.  I feel good.  I have more energy, I have seen an improvement in my skin and I have been losing weight easier.  I don’t crave sugary drinks anymore and best of all, I know what I am drinking is clean and safe.

Aquasana is an investment in your health and happiness.  Believe me, I’m a teacher for God’s Sake.
